Description: This is a portable adult bed rail: a sturdy metal frame with a soft foam grip handle, safety strap, storage pouch and a detachable night light, built to help adults safely get in and out of bed and prevent accidental falls.

Hazard:

The recalled bed rails violate the mandatory standard for adult portable bed rails, because users can become entrapped within the bed rail or between the bed rail and the side of the mattress, posing a serious entrapment hazard and risk of death by asphyxiation. The bed rails do not meet structural stability or retention strap requirements, posing a fall hazard. The bed rails’ push pins and push pin holes are incorrectly sized, posing a laceration hazard. In addition,the bed rails do not bear the required hazard warning labels.

 

Remedy:

Replacement.

What To Do:

If your order was placed between January 2025 - October 2025, you are eligible for Replacement. Nimood and Amazon are reaching out to all customers to begin a recall program. Nimood reported this issue to CPSC and released a joint recall notice.   1. Dispose of the product harmlessly: Cut the black fabric mesh bag of the bed rail with scissors and cut the black safety straps in two;
  2. Use a permanent marker to mark "RECALLED" on both the top and bottom crossbars of the bed rail;
  3. Take photos of the marked and damaged bed rail and send them to support@nimood.com,If you are replacing them, please provide details including the order and your home address
  4. Properly dispose of the recalled product in accordance with the state and local waste disposal regulations.
